Objective: Create a working circuit using a resistor, LED, battery, and conductive tape.
What You Need
– Copper tape or conductive tape
– A 3 mm LED
– A resistor
– A 3V coin battery
– A template (like the one shown)
– Clear tape (optional for securing components)
Steps to Build the Circuit
1. Prepare the Template
– Place the provided template on a flat surface.
– Notice the labeled paths for the resistor, LED, and battery.
2. Add the Copper Tape
– Stick copper tape along the lines of the template.
– Be careful to keep the tape flat and without gaps for smooth current flow.
3. Install the Resistor
– Locate the resistor section on the template.
– Secure the resistor across the labeled points using clear tape or by folding the copper tape to hold it in place.
4. Attach the LED
– Find the LED symbol on the template.
– Insert the LED, ensuring the long leg (positive) connects to the “+” path and the short leg (negative) connects to the “−” path.
– Secure the LED legs to the copper tape with clear tape.
5. Connect the Battery
– Place the battery in the designated circle.
– Ensure the positive (+) side of the battery aligns with the “+” on the template.
– Secure the battery in place.
6. Complete the Circuit
– Fold the template along the dotted line to complete the connection.
– Once folded, the circuit should light up the LED.
